They are cute, comfy and full of fabulous details (one being the cute woven pear) and love all the different choices. Team Tee Trends Featuring Sharp Dressed Fan

To say last year when my Chicago Cubs won the World Series was amazing and historic is an understatement. This season has had a sense of up and down, but with continued excitement and fun. So with a 2 game lead in their division, they need to keep playing hard and with heart like they have been to keep that lead. A few things for them to keep their lead are to stop moving around the line up (slowly getting better with that), get the bullpenâ€™s confidence up and get Willson Contreras off the DL, which thankfully happened yesterday before game 1 with the Mets. His energy and talent are electric and contagious. Here is to great hitting & pitching throughout the rest of the season.

September baseball is going to continue being amazing and I believe in the Cubs to keep that Central Division lead. Go Cubs Go ! One of the many things I love about baseball is the love and loyalty to one’s team. The fun comroderity and competition that comes with family and friends creates such joy and an added bonus to an already amazing game. It is one big family when it comes down to it and brings us to together.

To celebrate September baseball for my Cubs, I thought I would channel some of my favorite fashion trends of the moment. Two of my favorite things are fashion and sports. I get to combined them everyday and this series with the Mets is no different in doing that. The trends I have incorporated are a vintage graphic tee and the color of power red or Cubbie red as I like to call it.

This vintage tee has been passed around throughout my family, which of course I had to pair it with my Cubbie power red Mary Janes by Nine West along with my favorite high waisted jeans. Of course I had to add a vintage Cubs hat (thanks Dad) as well as a Cubbie power red lip ! Here is to continued ensembles with a flair for sports and fashion this September baseball season representing my favorite team 🙂

As I mentioned before what I love about baseball is that it brings us all together and this collaboration rains true to that. Sharp Dressed Fan and I have collaborated for the Cubs vs Mets series, which concludes tonight. It was fun for us both to style and represent our teams with our perspective vintage tees. Below is her chic account of styling for her New York Mets.

Sharp Dressed Fan Knows How to Represent Her New York Mets

So admittedly, my Mets aren’t doing nearly as well as the Cubbies this season, but I still love ’em! Even after living out here in California for 10+ years, I still follow the Metsies religiously, and listen to, or watch, about 95% of the games. Sundays are especially fun, as we’ve created a group of loyalists in LA , and gather to watch, and drink through, the games together. While the Yankees may claim more fans, the New Yorkers who bleed orange and blue are absolute die-hards, and even the first to form a traveling fan club (withÂ their own apparel line!)

The look I’ve put together for this Mets v. Cubs series is based on two major trends this year: the white logo tee, and the pleated midi skirt. The versatility of the tee knows no bounds, but, as it’s still a new-again trend, it can be more difficult to find a crew neck for women. My choice is actually a vintage Mets tee from the innaugural MLB Victoria’s Secret Pink line, but I’ve linked to another excellent option below in a child’s size. Don’t be afraid to try sizes outside your range – a kids L or XL makes a close match for a women’s S or M most times. My cobalt skirt was a fab clearance find at Forever21 (who can say no to a $6 skirt?!) and I’ve linked to an even lovlier one from Anthropologie, but they’re so popular at the moment, that you can find one in any price range. My gold heels can easily be swapped out for a more reasonable day-shoe, like the block heel alternatives I’ve linked to, but be creative! The best part about dressing up a tee is that there is no wrong answer, just as long as your repping your team.

Three Day Rule’s Night of Beauty at Viceroy Santa Monica

A little bit about Three Day Rule, who invited me to the fantastic ‘Night of Beauty’ event, they got started around 10 years ago and are now in 8 different cities. Three Day Rule’s goal is to create a much, more enjoyable, stress free dating experience. I look at TDR as a traditional yet modern way of dating without an app, which I love.

It is more of a personal way of dating in that the matchmakers go on the first dates asking all the uncomfortable questions for their clients. To me it is like your friend is weeding out the ones that are not right for you. Another fun aspect of TDR is that if you meet a matchmaker you can also become a match, which means if they have a client that they think you should meet they will make the setup for you 🙂 Simply love this idea ! Outfit of the Night

Now back to TDR’s 10th Annual Night of Beauty Event on June 12th. This beautiful event was hosted at the spectacular Viceroy Santa Monica (definitely having a staycation here). It was the perfect evening for an amazing event. Three Day Rule, Gilt City and Match teamed up for this annual event. Night of Beauty consisted of complimentary beauty, hair, nail touch-ups, pampering and tons of shopping with beGlammed (who did my makeup), Nail Garden (added the beautiful glitter to my mani), Cristophe Salon (William gave me my sexy beach waves), Toms (got my new shades, obsessed and for a great cause), Sprinkles Cupcakes (of course I had a cupcake & a cookie), Kendra Scott, Soul Cycle, Trunk Club, Club Pilates (excited to try), SUJA Juice (obsessed), Mai Couture (picked up amazing blush blot sheets), Skin Owl and many more amazing brands were present.

I not only got to enjoy a glamorous event while getting pampered (one of my favorite things), I also met a lot of amazing new people, which included Alisa, a matchmaker at TDR. Alisa went even more in depth about TDR and was kind enough to be my photographer for the evening.

After this beautiful event by the Viceroy Santa Monica pool, there was a singles mixer event at the bar. I sadly couldn’t’ stay, but I am positive that was a fun, successful mixer. I truly had an amazing time at TDR’s 10th Annual Night of Beauty Event and can’t wait for next year’s.

If you ever have a chance to attend a Three Day Rule event, I highly recommend it. Even if you aren’t single, they are perfect events to go with friends and meet new people.

If you are single and looking for a match, hit up Alisa at Three Day Rule. I ended up meeting with Alisa a week after the event for coffee and so excited to see who she matches me with !

Popping Champagne at Calabasas Malibu Food & Wine Festival

These days great company, champagne and a beautiful setting make for an amazing day and event. The Champagne Brunch for the Calabasas Malibu Food & Wine Festival on June 11th had all of these components. It was truly a beautiful event with great food from Toscanova out on the beautiful patio, live music from Tara Macri and great conversations with great company that included chefs from the previous 2 evening of the festival. I wish I could have made the first two nights because everyone was talking about how truly fantastic they were.

I always love it when I can leave an event with a huge smile on my face from enjoyment and I left with a big one from this one. I made lifelong friends from this one and have from all of Barcelona Enterprises past events as well. Barcelona Enterprises, who put the 3 day festival, put on a truly luxurious, classy event. I felt like I had known everyone for year and was welcomed with open arms. I will definitely be going again next year and will be bringing my family and friends. A champagne brunch is a perfect way to end a spectacular 3 day festival.

As Alan Semsar (CEO/Founder of Barcelona Enterprises) said, “The world’s top brands came together to support arts and education that included McLaren Beverly Hills, Capital One, Regent Seven Seas Cruises and Samuel Adams. They are all model corporate citizens who make a global & local impact. Cheers to them.” This shows how Alan and his team not only put on spectacular events on a continuous basis, but continuously put great causes at the forefront as to why they do what they do. They also align themselves with brands that put this as a priority as well, Cheers to you all !

Finding Your Inner Empowered Boss

It’s a bid, its a plane… it’s an empowered woman ! It’s me !

Feeling empowered and declaring my dreams have not always been easy, but through the years in finding my passion and dreams, feeling empowered and my voice have grown.How do you say did I find my inner power? It started with finding my passion and dreams in fashion and sports, which began when I was young. With fashion comes sports for me because they both have always been loves of my life. With passions come dreams and empowerment, it is not just about the outfit or having a hot dog at a baseball game, but about the memories made with loved ones that come with each, about dreaming, being creative and an empowered woman that I have become.

Fashion and sports for me are about what gives me my strength to keep going with my dreams and how they were possible, spending time with my family and making memories, which allowed me to find my voice.

I have noticed that in society speaking your voice and feeling empowered in our views are not always looked at positively, but in life we can’t please everyone. We have to continue to stay true to ourselves in what we love and dream about and how we can do that is through surrounding ourselves with a support system, make goals each day that will push us to achieve what helps us feel empowered, to find our voice and what we dream about.Life is about dreams and feeling empowered that we can achieve them and have that voice to shout it out to the world!

How do I get empowered every day ? I surround myself with amazing family and friends, daily affirmations with my super hero pose, do a dance party, wear a go to ensemble that helps me feel my best inside and out and do something that I love everyday from fashion to sports.
