Christmas Time is Here with Fabulous Flare and Tradition

Christmas is here and I am smiling from ear to ear. This is my favorite time of year for many reasons. Yes, it is exciting to get gifts and give them, but this is not why I love Christmas. I will keep it short and sweet as to why because let me tell you this topic alone could be months worth of blog posts.

Christmas Time for me is my favorite because it means laughter with family and friends, sitting by the Christmas tree, eating a delicious honey baked ham, A Christmas Story movie will probably always make an apperance, Christmas mass where we all get to rock amazing holiday fashion(the fashions pictured are two of my favorite looks this year !) and yes rocking my new Christmas PJS.

Christmas time is all about tradition and that tradition is spending time with each other and yes we do open gifts, but what I get excited about the most is watching everyone else open their gifts and seeing them get giddy. With my family there seems to always be lots of laughter when we open our stockings and gifts, which creates such a warmth in me 🙂

Christmas time tradition also includes picking up a tree, decorating it with family ornaments, shopping together, wrapping presents, baking yummy cookies, putting up lights with my dad and in recent years, I have been going to Pinterest for a couple new DIY decorations for each new Christmas time season.

IMG_4697-2 — My accessories for the holidays always include this heart sparkle ring from my mom. It is sentimental and an added bonus it sparkles. This amazing bracelet was gifted to me by Pura Vida, which is fun and festive. Also makes for an amazing gift 🙂

I will end this year’s Christmas time post with why Christmas time for me is extra exciting. The reason is because it is my Amazing mother’s birthday the very same day we celebrate Christmas ! We celebrate it by going to a fun movie, opening bday gifts and fullfilling my mom’s sweet tooth with a birthday cake.

Parisian Vs Nautical: Two Styles of My Life

Most fashion enthusiasts have a distinct style they gravitate towards. For me I have more than one, most would say a variety. Fashion has always been a love and a passion that I somehow incorporate into everything. I was the girl who changed ten times a day and wore this amazing red lace poofy skirt everyday that my parents had to wash all the time. Only recently in my late 20s did I nail down the way to describe the bulk of my style, which is Parisian and Nautical. Anthropologie meets Sperry, you could say.

A lightbulb went off, “I have to style one main piece two different ways,” in this case I chose a great navy and white striped dress (from The Mint Julep Boutique), which is a perfect way to go from Nautical to Parisian and back again with a few changes in accessories.

Simply by starting with the same base ( the dress) than changing up the accessories you can go from Parisian to Nautical in the same day in a flash.

For the Nautical look, I took an awesome Nautica puffer vest (back on trend) paired with some classic sunnies and fun compass jewelry, a white tote with gold details and mule peep-toe heels. There you have it! A quick go-to Nautical look for any day of the week that screams “lets go sailing!”

To switch it up to a Parisian look, throw in a pink blazer and purse, pearls, wedge booties, kate spade gemstone ring and magical glasses, you have the same dress, but with Paris written all over it.

Creative Juices are Flowing with Passion at Art Hearts Fashion

Fashion is an art whether on the runway, exploring out with friends or a combination of the two. It is a special moment when you realize that you can share in something you are passionate and real about it over dinner before the fashion shows, during and after. It is a realness that is sometimes hard to find especially in fashion, but being with great friends made me realize it’s all around in fashion and outside of it and even the fellow fashion show goers were amazing and truly enjoying the evening. There was a sense of an intimate show with friends even with a lot of people in attendance.

Luckily in the see of people mixed with the sense of intimacy, I was able to get a combination of the art of fashion and exploring out with friends at Off Vine Restaurant. It is always an added bonus when you get an evening filled with amazing fashion from Furne One, Mister Triple X and Michal Ngo at Art Hearts Fashion’s final night of shows put on by Parker Whitaker Productions. It’s amazing to see friends do what they love and enjoy the things we are all passionate about together, which involved the great creativity and talent that came out of Art Hearts Fashion. The creativity not only came out of the designers, but the fellow show goers as well. I believe seeing those fashions are partly why I go and they too inspire like the designers.

To be able to be there with friends like Jessica Pinedo of Just Jess Fashion (one of my favorite fashion blogs) who support me and who I support is truly a gift and why I had such a great night. I mean who doesn’t love an excuse to get all dolled up to have a great night out with friends when fashion shows are involved? I know I am in every time.

First Step Into Fall Fashions

Fall is here… well, somewhat here in Southern California, but for most of the country the tree leaves have change and the air is brisk and one can’t forget about the change in fashions.

Fall is one of my favorite times of year because it brings about the colorful leaves, all

things pumpkin from lattes to the well known seed, carving for Halloween, amazing

times with family and friends, and great fashion go to’s like a great pair of boots, a favorite

sweater and of course all the amazing pops of color we get to incorporate into our

everyday wardrobe. I do have a confession to make: I sometimes rock those colors

all year round when I am feeling in a fall mood. But, that is what fashion is all about, right? Wearing what you feel and owning it !
