First off, thank you to those that gave their lives for us and all that continue to serve for our freedoms. In honor of these brave soldiers, here are some amazing ways we can honor and celebrate them !

1.Backyard BBQ with all your favorite outdoor games like cornhole from Dick’s Sporting Goods and horseshoe from Amazon along with the best pool floaties like from Sunnylife

2.Pizza from Settebello, Beer (my fave Mother Earth) and Cards Against Humanity

3. Trip to San Diego (includes Baseball (Hot Dogs & Cold Beverages) & Beach Time)

4.A day of fun that includes Pinterest Crafts and popcorn, which is great for all the families

Another idea I have seen around too that I one day want to try for Memorial Day is a Memorial Day Adult Scavenger Hunt around town with friends, how fun and what a great way to celebrate our soldiers !

Also don’t forget to bust out your flags and poppies (be sure to check out why bring out the poppies) along with all your red, white and blue !

P.S. Remember to show love for our soldiers especially on the holidays dedicated to them.

This a little late for Father’s Day, but I figured I can never be late when talking about my dad.

What can I say about the man that has continuously helps take care of me , gives me advice and protects me ? He is a man that I have gotten my love of sports and music from, someone who I call a great friend and continuously laugh with. One of my favorite activities these days with my dad is either watching golf or the Cubs or hitting up a great happy hour with bites(grilled artichoke, here is a great recipe:http://allrecipes.com/recipe/57899/grilled-garlic-artichokes/ )and drinks ( a favorite, Mother Earth Cali Creaming ).

Not only can I have fun with my dad whether out and about or relaxing at home, but also in times of stress and hardship I know I can count on my dad to listen, comfort and give great advice.

You also best believe when the Cubs go to the World Series, we will be there together cheering them on! Go Cubs Go (Cubbies)!!
