My all time favorite sports store is Wrigleyville Sports. It is right by Wrigley Field and online as well (which I love). It is a place I can get all my Cubs’ goodies as well as my other fave Chicago teams, which is my long time obsessions. I finally went there for the first time last year and I went over board with sports gear, so glad I did. Wrigleyville Sports is the best and will forever be a huge Yes Please !

Yes Please #3: Getting a Blow Dry

This week I got another amazing blow dry from Hair by Mal . I have always loved a pamper day that involved getting an amazing blow dry. What I have also realized this past time is how therapuetic getting a blow dry is for me. Just taking that time to be in the moment and relax is something I very much need. So a blow dry is amazing, relaxing and gets my Yes Please vote !

Yes Please #4: LaCroix Sparkling Water

I am officially hooked on LaCroix Sparkling Water and have to make sure to have it near by at all times. I love them all, but my go to is LaCroix Passionfruit. Yummy and Yes Please !

Yes Please #5: Flamingo Prints

Flamingo Print anything is my new favorite print especially on an awesome romper like the one below. It’s a fun and fantastic print that is perfect for any occasion. The best is when my mom gets flamingo print pieces and I can go and borrow them 🙂 This is a print that will always be a trend and Yes Please in my closet. Don’t be surprised if a flamingo pool and drink floatie pop up in the future 🙂

Three Day Rule’s Night of Beauty at Viceroy Santa Monica

A little bit about Three Day Rule, who invited me to the fantastic ‘Night of Beauty’ event, they got started around 10 years ago and are now in 8 different cities. Three Day Rule’s goal is to create a much, more enjoyable, stress free dating experience. I look at TDR as a traditional yet modern way of dating without an app, which I love.

It is more of a personal way of dating in that the matchmakers go on the first dates asking all the uncomfortable questions for their clients. To me it is like your friend is weeding out the ones that are not right for you. Another fun aspect of TDR is that if you meet a matchmaker you can also become a match, which means if they have a client that they think you should meet they will make the setup for you 🙂 Simply love this idea ! Outfit of the Night

Now back to TDR’s 10th Annual Night of Beauty Event on June 12th. This beautiful event was hosted at the spectacular Viceroy Santa Monica (definitely having a staycation here). It was the perfect evening for an amazing event. Three Day Rule, Gilt City and Match teamed up for this annual event. Night of Beauty consisted of complimentary beauty, hair, nail touch-ups, pampering and tons of shopping with beGlammed (who did my makeup), Nail Garden (added the beautiful glitter to my mani), Cristophe Salon (William gave me my sexy beach waves), Toms (got my new shades, obsessed and for a great cause), Sprinkles Cupcakes (of course I had a cupcake & a cookie), Kendra Scott, Soul Cycle, Trunk Club, Club Pilates (excited to try), SUJA Juice (obsessed), Mai Couture (picked up amazing blush blot sheets), Skin Owl and many more amazing brands were present.

I not only got to enjoy a glamorous event while getting pampered (one of my favorite things), I also met a lot of amazing new people, which included Alisa, a matchmaker at TDR. Alisa went even more in depth about TDR and was kind enough to be my photographer for the evening.

After this beautiful event by the Viceroy Santa Monica pool, there was a singles mixer event at the bar. I sadly couldn’t’ stay, but I am positive that was a fun, successful mixer. I truly had an amazing time at TDR’s 10th Annual Night of Beauty Event and can’t wait for next year’s.

If you ever have a chance to attend a Three Day Rule event, I highly recommend it. Even if you aren’t single, they are perfect events to go with friends and meet new people.

If you are single and looking for a match, hit up Alisa at Three Day Rule. I ended up meeting with Alisa a week after the event for coffee and so excited to see who she matches me with !

As I write this Mother’s Day is just a couple days away and it gets me thinking every year how lucky I am to have a mom like mine who supports, loves, pushes and allows me to shoot for the stars.

When I was little she let me play in dirt, sing like I was the next pop star on my plastic microphone, change my clothes 10 times a day like I was a runway model to letting me pack up my blue suitcase when I was 5 thinking I was moving out. The point of all these stories is that my mom let me be me and continues to let me be me so I ask myself, “How do I choose what to get such an amazing mom the perfect Mother’s Day gift? Things I am Loving for the Month of Love

When the month of February roles around it gets me to thinking, what things I am loving right now.

First, I am really loving the idea of DIYing gifts for Valentine’s Day from date ideas in a jar to homemade treats to a VDay arrangment to painted canvases for decor.

Second, I am really loving all things Valentine’s Day themed anything including this Wildfox “Be Mine” Sleep Mask(love it all year).

Third, I am really loving having an home spa/pamper seesion either with girlfriends, my mom and sister for Galentine’s Day or a day of making self love a priority.

Fourth, I am really loving Tejava all day everyday. It is an all natural, amazing iced tea that brightens up any Galentine’s Day brunch to dinner with loved ones to a day of reading magazines for VDay inspiration.

Lastly, I am really loving celebrating and being present as often as I can with family and friends 🙂

Weekend of Splendor with my Mom

To play off the quote above, I had a truly amazing Halloween weekend with a women that always makes me laugh and who I always have a good time with, my mom. This whole girls weekend came about because my dad was going to visit friends so my mom and I decided to plan a girls Halloween weekend. So we got to planning an amazing weekend.

Our first adventure we snapped on our fall ensembles and went off to the magical Rise of the Jack O Lanterns Festival, which consisted of a maze of wonder in hand carved pumpkins. We saw a sea of jellyfish to Prince William & Princess Kate to a magical dragon. We snapped photos, laughed a lot, enjoyed the weather and kicked off our girls weekend of spending time without a hitch.

It was not Halloween Saturday and ready for the next adventure, which we have arrived at movie time of Something Wicked This Way Comes, one of my mom’s faves. I have never seen it before so it was special to share with my mom even if the movie was a little spooky, but perfect for the Halloween holiday. With the movie over and dinner just around the corner it was time to get in our Saturday Halloween evening dinner wear for a fabulous night at Mike & Anne’s, one of our faves in the area. Let me tell you, we ate amazing food from a Japanese pumpkin salad to some wine and scallops, pasta and ended it with splitting a holiday appropriate dessert pumpkin pie. It was another adventure for the books and ended with relaxation, which is always a treat.

It is Sunday morning the day after Halloween and our next, final adventure is here, one that my mom and I alway love doing, going to the flea market. A perfect time to shop for awesome finds, bond and enjoy a nice Sunday. Such amazing pieces at the flea market, lets just say I wanted a lot. One of the collest things was a Union 76 gas tank that could work as a coll coffee table and it reminded us of my dad who use to work for Union 76 corporate. The flea market is always fun when there with my mom and my dad always has us thinking of him one way or another when we are there 🙂 .

The girls weekend was a hit and family was ever present, which leads me to this question, Why is it important to hang with your mom and the whole family? I have always known how important being with family is, but this girls weekend truly made me realize why it is. It is important becasue they are my heart and with them around my life just has more joy and happiness. I also realized it is special to hang out with each family member separately because it is more intimate in a different way and it is special as well when we all came together.

Life can get in the way sometimes, but it is important to make time for the ones who have your heart and I know I will hold this girls weekend with my mom forever in my heart.

Parisian Vs Nautical: Two Styles of My Life

Most fashion enthusiasts have a distinct style they gravitate towards. For me I have more than one, most would say a variety. Fashion has always been a love and a passion that I somehow incorporate into everything. I was the girl who changed ten times a day and wore this amazing red lace poofy skirt everyday that my parents had to wash all the time. Only recently in my late 20s did I nail down the way to describe the bulk of my style, which is Parisian and Nautical. Anthropologie meets Sperry, you could say.

A lightbulb went off, “I have to style one main piece two different ways,” in this case I chose a great navy and white striped dress (from The Mint Julep Boutique), which is a perfect way to go from Nautical to Parisian and back again with a few changes in accessories.

Simply by starting with the same base ( the dress) than changing up the accessories you can go from Parisian to Nautical in the same day in a flash.

For the Nautical look, I took an awesome Nautica puffer vest (back on trend) paired with some classic sunnies and fun compass jewelry, a white tote with gold details and mule peep-toe heels. There you have it! A quick go-to Nautical look for any day of the week that screams “lets go sailing!”

Creative Juices are Flowing with Passion at Art Hearts Fashion

Fashion is an art whether on the runway, exploring out with friends or a combination of the two. It is a special moment when you realize that you can share in something you are passionate and real about it over dinner before the fashion shows, during and after. It is a realness that is sometimes hard to find especially in fashion, but being with great friends made me realize it’s all around in fashion and outside of it and even the fellow fashion show goers were amazing and truly enjoying the evening. There was a sense of an intimate show with friends even with a lot of people in attendance.

Luckily in the see of people mixed with the sense of intimacy, I was able to get a combination of the art of fashion and exploring out with friends at Off Vine Restaurant. It is always an added bonus when you get an evening filled with amazing fashion from Furne One, Mister Triple X and Michal Ngo at Art Hearts Fashion’s final night of shows put on by Parker Whitaker Productions. It’s amazing to see friends do what they love and enjoy the things we are all passionate about together, which involved the great creativity and talent that came out of Art Hearts Fashion. The creativity not only came out of the designers, but the fellow show goers as well. I believe seeing those fashions are partly why I go and they too inspire like the designers.

To be able to be there with friends like Jessica Pinedo of Just Jess Fashion (one of my favorite fashion blogs) who support me and who I support is truly a gift and why I had such a great night. I mean who doesn’t love an excuse to get all dolled up to have a great night out with friends when fashion shows are involved? I know I am in every time.

First Step Into Fall Fashions

Fall is here… well, somewhat here in Southern California, but for most of the country the tree leaves have change and the air is brisk and one can’t forget about the change in fashions.

everyday wardrobe. I do have a confession to make: I sometimes rock those colors
