CAN NEVER GO WRONG WITH THE MUSEUM OF ICE CREAM

” Ice Cream solves everything.”

Back in July, I went to the Museum of Ice Cream with my amazing mom. The moment I found out about the Museum of Ice Cream in NYC, I knew if I could get my mom there one day I would. So y’all can imagine when I found the Museum of Ice Cream was coming to LA how excited I was. I was mainly stoked because I was going to be able to take my mom, who is a lover of Ice Cream.

Come July it was time for my mom and I to enjoy the Museum of Ice Cream. We got our ice cream themed ensembles together and we were on our ice cream way. Once we arrived we were greeted with an ice cream stamped walk way. So each ticket(s) have a specific time when the tour starts, but the museum had the cutest outdoor waiting area. Right away my mom and I knew we were right at home.

At the door, we were asked our favorite ice cream flavor so our smiles than grew even larger. The doors opened and we were greeted with Dove chocolate, one of our faves. Chocolate was followed by the pink telephone room with a message from Seth Rogan and laughter exuded from us. A world of Venice,CA followed and that included some yummy Cool Haus ice cream, yummy in our tummies !

What came next was just one of my favorite parts of the tour with my mom, swinging away on the swings and being silly under the hanging bananas. Just being silly and having fun with my mom is always the best. Down the ice cream road we went and never turned back. The garden of mint chip ice cream had to be tended to and we happily accepted this task. A fun side note this is my dad’s favorite ice cream. The yummy treats of mint chip mochi was taken care of and very tasty.

Somewhere over the rainbow to the room of melted ice cream we went to lead us to gummy bears galore. Of course my mom and I had everything along the way which included more chocolate. My favorite part was just over the rainbow, the pool of sprinkles. We got in and scooped up some pool floaties to have some fun. Suprisingly very relaxing put your feet in sprinkles. They did get everywhere, but it was well worth it.

The tour ended with an ice cream sandwich swing and a yummy pancake ice cream sandwich. What a way to end an amazing day with my mom. The Museum of Ice Cream was definitely worth it and beyond memorable. I look forward to the next adventure with my mom.

P.S. What is your favorite ice cream? I love strawberry mochi ice cream.

Yes Pleases of the Week

“I don’t believe in guilty pleasures. If you enjoy something there is nothing guilty about it.” ~Busy Phillips

It is that time of the week again where I share my obsessions of the week ala my Yes Pleases. This has become one of my favorite series to write because it allows me to just delve into what I am really loving and sharing it with y’all in hopes it inspires πŸ™‚ I also love showcasing amazing brands and items to show while also supporting others who are passionate about what they do.

Let’s Go ! Yes Pleases for the week are under way !!

Yes Please #1: MLB TV

MLB TV is amazing and not only lets me watch all the Chicago Cubs games, but it keeps me intuned with the other teams that are always intriguing. I wouldn’t survive baseball season without MLB TV. I love that I can get it through an app as well. Yes Please to MLB TV always !

Yes Please #2: Pop Sockets

I first found out about Pop Sockets at an event I ran last year and was very enamored with them right away. I just recently purchased one and I love it. My palm tree Pop Socket is not only a fun accessory, but it is another way to keep a hold of my phone and to take photos without dropping it ( been there ). So I say Yes Please to this trend !

Yes Please #3: Museum of Ice Cream

I have to say I loved the Museum of Ice Cream not just because of the tasty treats, awesome sprinkle pool or gummi bears everywhere, but in large part because I got to have so much fun with my mom. She is a lover/connoisseur of ice cream and she has passed it on to me, thanks Mom ! We had a ball and I say Yes Please to that !

Yes Please #4: Perfect Formula‘s Pink Gel Coat

This is my new favorite nail product. It is great for nail health along with an added flare for nail accessorizing. It works great, looks great and I can already see a difference. So yay and Yes Please !

Yes Please #5: Ice Cream Cone TOMS

I first got my Ice Cream Cone TOMSΒ when I knew I was going to the Museum of Ice Cream and I am so happy I did. Not only did I wear them to the museum, but I will continue to pair them with my outfits. They are fun and delicious, which is what I love in my fashion and is a big Yes Please !

So much fun and deliciousness this week, thank y’all for coming on over ! See y’all next week !!

Three Day Rule’s Night of Beauty at Viceroy Santa Monica

“Glamour is a state of mind.”

IMG_9156

A little bit about Three Day Rule, who invited me to the fantastic ‘Night of Beauty’ event, they got started around 10 years ago and are now in 8 different cities. Three Day Rule’s goal is to create a much, more enjoyable, stress free dating experience. I look at TDR as a traditional yet modern way of dating without an app, which I love.

It is more of a personal way of dating in that the matchmakers go on the first dates asking all the uncomfortable questions for their clients. To me it is like your friend is weeding out the ones that are not right for you. Another fun aspect of TDR is that if you meet a matchmaker you can also become a match, which means if they have a client that they think you should meet they will make the setup for you πŸ™‚ Simply love this idea ! Go check out, Three Day Rule !

Now back to TDR’s 10th Annual Night of Beauty Event on June 12th. This beautiful event was hosted at the spectacular Viceroy Santa Monica (definitely having a staycation here). It was the perfect evening for an amazing event. Three Day Rule, Gilt City and Match teamed up for this annual event. Night of Beauty consisted of complimentary beauty, hair, nail touch-ups, pampering and tons of shopping with beGlammed (who did my makeup), Nail Garden (added the beautiful glitter to my mani), Cristophe Salon (William gave me my sexy beach waves), Toms (got my new shades, obsessed and for a great cause), Sprinkles Cupcakes (of course I had a cupcake & a cookie), Kendra Scott, Soul Cycle, Trunk Club, Club Pilates (excited to try), SUJA Juice (obsessed), Mai Couture (picked up amazing blush blot sheets), Skin Owl and many more amazing brands were present.

I not only got to enjoy a glamorous event while getting pampered (one of my favorite things), I also met a lot of amazing new people, which included Alisa, a matchmaker at TDR. Alisa went even more in depth about TDR and was kind enough to be my photographer for the evening.

After this beautiful event by the Viceroy Santa Monica pool, there was a singles mixer event at the bar. I sadly couldn’t’ stay, but I am positive that was a fun, successful mixer. I truly had an amazing time at TDR’s 10th Annual Night of Beauty Event and can’t wait for next year’s.

If you ever have a chance to attend a Three Day Rule event, I highly recommend it. Even if you aren’t single, they are perfect events to go with friends and meet new people.

If you are single and looking for a match, hit up Alisa at Three Day Rule. I ended up meeting with Alisa a week after the event for coffee and so excited to see who she matches me with !

Thank you again for inviting me!

Music at a Festival…Brings a Flock Together

“There’s nothing like a music festival. People are ready to have a good time. I don’t think anyone comes to a festival going, “I’m gonna be a complete bummer today.” ~ Gary Clark, Jr.

Going to make this short and sweet because I don’t want you all to miss out on all the festival fun. Every year music festivals seem to get bigger and bigger, a lot of it is because music is universal. Music continues and will continue to bring people together.

Whether you are off to Weekend #2 of Coachella, Stage Coach or a hidden gem I haven’t heard of, but would love, here are some twists and treats on festival fashions. Fashion for a Cause in the New Year

It is 2016…can’t believe it ! To kick off the new year, my first post of 2016 is about brands that I not only love but brands that support amazing causes. The brands I will be featuring are Threads for Thought(design and produce ethical, sustainable fashion for the environment), Pura Vida Bracelets(Charity Collections and helps create jobs for those in Costa Rica) , who I have partnered up with these amazing bracelets that are featured, Buckfeet Shoes(support local artists), Flex Watches(the one featured is to support Love and Equality organizations) and last, but not least Toms (for every pair purchased another pair is given to those in need).

My love for fashion that supports different causes came about in college when I started researching about eco friendly marketing in business. A light bulb went off and ever since then I do my best to shop for brands that support a cause and also partner with brands for my blog as well whether its in support of female entrepreneurship to the environment. For me supporting causes means supporting others and supporting others is important to keep this world going. The world goes round when we are all each others cheerleaders πŸ™‚

Here are some of my faves and I promise to keep posting about great new brands for causes that I find! What are some of all of your favorite brands that support great causes? Drop a comment on in! Looking forward to hearing from all of you πŸ™‚
